Dedicated to the memory of Sean Bell...Respect... ...VOTE...Fight, Fight the Power, You've GOTTA Fight the Powers That Be!
I should have done this earlier, but better late than never in this particular case:
First let me say CONGRATULATIONS to Venus Williams for being the Women's Wimbledon Champion and to Venus and Serena Williams for being the Doubles Women Champions. You go, Ladies. They are ever so gracious and humble. A refreshing sight in the age of spoiled athletes.
Thanks, Salt and Pepa for inspiration for the title of this post. Talk about over achievers... Not only did Val and I do 2/3 of our regular paces at 80 something degrees this morn, but we got on the D and rode to Columbus Circle, walked over to the east side of Central Park, rode the Carousel, showed the secret to the kids in the Billy Johnson Playground, (You know Mo, the marble slide and cardboard routine), left them the cardboard so they too, can whiz down at the speed of lightning, and walked all of the way uptown to 110th. The beautiful formal gardens at 106th were breathtaking as usual and we even saw a wedding taking place. By the time we reached the 2 line, and it was 91 degrees, I WAS DONE!!!! But, it was ALL GOOD. I feel tired, but FABULOUS and it is a good rewarding kind of tired. Now, off to the bathtub to soak. I really am proud of myself for not slacking today ('cause I really wanted to ), but for sure it is easier when you have the encouraging word of a sister-friend who is right there with you. If I haven't said it before, THANKS, VAL!!! I couldn't have asked God for a better Sister-in-Law. Now, about those upcoming boatrides, let me get this tan golden pecan, and I am there! Next Thursday, Shadow Boatride, I wanna be in da house! C'mon crew, let's do this! Who's on board with this? Lemme know. Y'all know I aint skeered to go alone but with friends already along, I won't have to make new ones, (but you know I can and I will if I must.) LOL

Ok Miss Lady, I could be sadlysadly mistaken, but if this is the SAME boat ride that you invited me on last week, then how could you POSSIBLY be going alone, hmmm? I don't mind extra company, but PLEEASE don't count me out! lol P.S., tell me that you took some pics on the marble slide, for memories... I need some new ones... P.P.S., I think I might've published my comment twice... lol. SORRY!
