An' One Mo' Thing...

Dedicated to the memory of Sean Bell...Respect... ...VOTE...Fight, Fight the Power, You've GOTTA Fight the Powers That Be!

I can't believe I forgot to write this with yesterday's post, SCREW YOU, New Yorker Magazine!!!! I love the editorial page of the NY Daily News from the day that dreadful cover appeared. It was just as crude and tasteless as the newly crowned by me, "rag mag's" cover. It featured Cindy McCain sitting on a big bag of money while she popped prescription pills and the senator was wearing a Depends and pushing his walker. Tasteless and crude as I previously stated, but if we want to conjure up false fears, then there we have it America. I truly believe none of us need to purchase that rag even if it is to hold on to campaign memorabilia. I can think of better souvenirs to hold on to for future generations. I would much rather share with my grands of the future the stories of how I participated in this history in the making event and how it has impacted my life forever. I'd much rather share the e-mails from Barack Obama, thanking me for my contributions to his Presidential Campaign, both physically and financially. I'd much rather show the pictures, posters and buttons that made us proud as a people. I know for sure I will share with them them cover of the daily papers that declared the first Obama victory in Iowa. They will have access to the speeches from the last Democratic National Convention straight through to yesterday's historic and very presidential sounding speech in Germany and both of the Inaugural Speeches of 2009 and 2113. (Yes, I do believe in speaking TRUTH to POWER.) None of us need to support the New Yorker Magazine in their effort to create a diversion and to keep folks minds off the prize.
